I chose my Website for my Computer Science class as my third worksample. For this project, we had to create a website around a topic of our choice. Then, we had to touch on subtopics, and create pages around them. Each subtopic had a blog page, and had two other relating pages. Our website also had a home page and a survey page, so our page total was 11. I chose to build my website around: bacteria, viruses, and diseases. This was one of the bigger projects we did this quarter, and I put quite a bit of work into the project, so I thought it was appropriate to include it in my portfolio. One of the main 21st Century Skills I used for this project was: Information. I had to do a large amount of research on different ailments even though I have a previous knowledge of some of them. I had to put the information in my own words, and verify my sources. I didn’t find this project difficult; however, I did enjoy working on it. I did find it difficult to choose what viruses, bacteria, and diseases to include on my website. This website shows my diverse interests and unique knowledge. I’m happy with my completion of this project; however, I could’ve been more specific in my website survey.
